The Fryerning Balustrading project was completed in Essex.
GH Interiors provided survey, design, drawing, supply and installation services.
The project was carried out over the course of four weeks, coordinated alongside other trades completing stonework on the staircase.
The brief was to provide pricing and installation for glass balustrading and bespoke internal mirrors, in line with the property’s architectural layout and interior design.
The scope of works included the installation of external toughened laminated glass balustrading and various internal bespoke mirrors.
The project requirements were established through on-site meetings with both the builder and the homeowner to confirm design intent, dimensions and installation details.
A key requirement was to ensure the glass balustrade met at the correct height where it intersected with the staircase landing and atrium glass.
The main challenge arose when the parapet wall coping stone was changed, requiring adjustments to the original glass design.
This was resolved by carrying out a further on-site assessment and planning the revised glass cut-out to accommodate the new coping stone overhang.
The completed installation delivered a precise and high-quality finish, ensuring the balustrading and mirrors integrated seamlessly with the staircase and interior features.
