GLASS BALUSTRADES: TIME TO GET YOUR DECKING READY FOR SUMMER

Decking Glass Balustrades | 18 March 2021

Spring is finally here, and already it seems like summer is around the corner! With the warmer weather, the long days and the balmy evenings, it’s no surprise that so many of our minds are fixed on summer. Now that so many of us are spending more and more time outdoors in our own homes, it’s the perfect time to start making your garden space perfect for you.

Pairing decking and glass balustrades is a popular choice for many people who wish to transform their outdoor space into a form of extra room. The milder weather from June to August often means that sitting, and even eating outside is an achievable dream for many. We have often helped our clients to design and build their garden balustrades to fit perfectly with their decking and garden features.

Key benefits include:

– Patented adjustment system allowing horizontal alignment of each individual glass panel

– Fast Installation

– Available in various finishes including satin stainless effect and various RAL colours.

– Suitable for a range of glass sizes 12-21.5mm thickness.

– Tested & engineered to meet the strictest building regulations (with the appropriate fixing and glass thickness) in both domestic and commercial installations

Frameless glass is a sleek and modern look, often found in and around office buildings and public buildings for its incredibly sleek appearance. It treats those around it to an unobscured view, making it a perfect choice to pair with decking. Frameless glass balustrades are particularly choice to use if your residence or decking is coastal; the glass itself is durable and can weather the increased salt and more moisture air with none of the erosion, rust or wear and tear that can appear on metal. Frameless glass also pairs well with stone or tile decking; the combination of the two can make a space feel truly contemporary, and is often extremely practical when the outdoors is used to eat or cook.

Our Frameless Glass Balustrade system is the ultimate in style and sophistication suitable for both indoor and outdoor use on Glass balconies, Decking & Patio balustrades or even a Glass fence. The versatile system offers an aluminium base channel and glass infill it can be supplied with or without a stainless handrail giving the ultimate seamless finish.  Our contemporary glass balustrade systems are compliant with building regulations and can be customised using either clear, tinted or frosted balustrade safety glass.

Internal Glass Sliding Doors

GLASS SLIDING DOORS : DO YOU WANT MORE LIGHT IN YOUR HOME?

Internal Glass Sliding Doors | 11 March 2021

Beautiful sliding glass doors increase light transmission, space saving and with no bulky frames give an uninterrupted view between rooms and allowing open plan multi use living.

From glass and acoustic operable walls, windows and door systems to architectural drains and aluminium louvres, glass partitions effortlessly blend functionality and aesthetics. Switchable glass panels can also offer the perfect balance between office transparency and privacy while promoting natural light in a space. Other design solutions can maximise storage, reduce noise and increase privacy without sacrificing aesthetics.

The design possibilities are endless with frameless glazed partitioning. You can create spectacular environments and realise your creative vision without compromising on performance. Glass offers you nearly limitless possibilities for the design of your rooms. It gives your partitions a high- quality appearance and creates bright, open spaces. With its sound-proofing properties it enables you to work undisturbed and in peace, which is an ideal condition for an office.

Glass Partitions are stylish and allow light to permeate the space. They create inspirational environments where collaborative working and creativity can flourish. Glass Partitions provide transparent effective shielded office zones where concentration and privacy can be maintained.  Wall pockets can also allow sliding glass doors to be fully retracted out of sight. Here’s why you should consider installing sliding glass doors in your home or office:

One of the best benefits of having a glass door installed in your home or office is the increase in natural light in your property. Rather than blocking it off with large, solid doors, you can light up your space for free! Not only will this save you a whole lot of money on electricity bills, but using sliding glass doors will also let you enjoy the many other benefits of natural light, including improving your mood and increasing energy levels. Who would’ve thought you’d get all of that just from switching to glass doors?

As sliding glass doors are typically much larger than regular doors, usually going from floor to ceiling and sometimes replacing the entire length of a wall, they really help improve ventilation in homes and offices. On warm days, you can open your doors wide, letting the cool breeze from outside circulate and enjoying the fresh air. You won’t even have to use air conditioning anymore, which will save you a lot on electricity bills!

By choosing glass sliding doors, you also open up the space you live or work in. Not only will it make your rooms seem bigger and connect them to the outdoors, the fact that you don’t have to open them in or out will also mean you can use more of the space in your rooms. This is a great benefit to any property and gives you more freedom in the rooms that you have. Using sliding glass doors can give you the opportunity to take a look outside without any obstruction. You’ll feel far more free and connected to the outdoors, which is a wonderful benefit for both large and small homes or offices.

Another advantage of sliding glass doors is the fact that there’ll be increased room for people to move in and out of your home or office. With a larger space opening up to the outside or to connecting rooms, it makes it easy for guests to move throughout your property, creating a better flow. It’ll also open up your house and connect each separate space, encouraging more harmony throughout your interior.

Kitchen Glass Splashback

KITCHEN GLASS SPLASHBACKS – MAKE A STATEMENT THAT WILL STAND OUT AGAINST A NEUTRAL BACKDROP

Kitchen Glass Splashbacks | 1 March 2021

In addition to kitchen worktops, the kitchen splashback is quite often the first element that’s noticed when walking into a kitchen, so designers are keen to make it count. Kitchen splashbacks are a key decision in a project as vertical surfaces carry significant design weight and there is a real appetite to experiment at the moment. We’re seeing artwork installed behind glass and resin bronze as well as wallpapers.  Opt for a graphic print or photo imaging on a glass splashback to make an impact. Use it to create a feature wall in a neutral kitchen scheme and it will instantly make your sink area stand out from the rest of your kitchen. Once installed and sealed, clean with regular household products. Make sure to regularly buff your polished stone after cleaning to maintain the shine.

Use your kitchen glass splashback to make a statement that will sing out against a white backdrop. Choose a smooth glossy surface if you have a modern kitchen. Think carefully about colour. A splashback that looks great in a showroom many not appear the same under the lights you have at home, so ask for a sample to compare. Give your glass splashback an extra dimension by using low-iron toughened glass. For glass with a smart twist, add illumination. Add a slim prefabricated frame for LEDs. Opt for lighting that will change from cool white light when you’re cooking to ambient warm tones when you’re dining or relaxing afterwards.

Who said a kitchen glass splashback should be neutral? A lime green sleek glass splashback adds a touch of fresh colour to this grey and white kitchen while sticking to the ultramodern style of the units and worktop. Using a swatch of luxury wallpaper, fabric or a painted pattern is an easy way to inject colour and life into a kitchen design. Covered with toughened glass, making sure it’s low iron to avoid a greenish tinge. Alternatively, keep wallpaper completely moisture-free, and prevent it from coming away from the wall, by sandwiching between two sheets of glass.

Benefits of printed glass splashbacks for kitchens include:

  • Toughened glass for practicality and durability in cooking areas
  • A unique way to add stunning ‘kitchen art’ to the busiest room in your home
  • Made-to-order to any custom size, with standard dimensions also available
  • Texture effects available to match kitchen cabinets, kitchen units, kitchen panel splashback, kitchen cooker splashback, oven splashback, kitchen hob splashback, oven splashback and kitchen

  • Modern, easy-to-fit alternative to kitchen tiles, less durable materials and wallpaper
  • Industry-leading glass printing process – fade-free when placed above kitchen appliances

Our made to measure kitchen glass splashbacks are made from the highest quality toughened glass and can be printed with any image or any bespoke design.
